Bendigo Hawks: Squad 2

Squad 2 of Bendigo Hawks.

Coached by Tricia Sambrooks

 

Aims to futher swimmers love for competitive swimming while enchancing swimmers technique and fitness in a supportive enviroment with like minded swimmers

Like Squad 1, Squad 2 has a main focus of correct stroke but also evolves swimmers racing abilties by developing the swimmers Anaerobic and Aerobic system so the swimmer can start to swim in races over 25m/50m

 

       In this squad swimmers will:

Futher advance Freestyle and Backstroke techniques

Refine Breastroke technique

Futher Butterfly technique and Racing skills

Start to implement race strategies for longer distance races

 

As well as Swimming at BHA, we also provide the opportunity for our swimmers to experience 'Dryland'. This is where swimmers do a series of body weight or light weight exercises (e.g. running, sit-ups, push-ups) to eventually enhance the participants swimming abilties

*If parent does not wish their child to do dryland for any cirumstance this is absolutley fine they will just swim instead

It is advised that swimmers attend training as much as possible (so they don't miss out) but in the circumstance of being unwell, away or other commitments etc. it would be very nice to let your coach know
